Dear Participants,
I'm excited to join you as a judge for the upcoming Retriever Competition in May. Although we may not know each other yet, let me briefly introduce myself.
I've been working with Labradors for over 14 years as a trainer, competitor, and more recently, an FCI-qualified judge. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best in the field and continue to expand my knowledge every day. In recent years, I’ve focused on sharing that experience with others, helping handlers and dogs achieve their full potential.
Being relatively young in this role, I believe I bring a fresh perspective to the sport while honoring its traditions. I'm truly honored to serve as a judge and look forward to an exciting and memorable competition.

Dear participants,
My name is Maria Kacsalova and I was born in Russia, but I have been living in Hungary already for more than 30 years.
Even though my first retriever working line USA – breed Golden came to me at the end of 2002, I would rather say that my real affection to train working retrievers has been starting from 2006 when I imported my first working line Labrador Alexis D’Aspe D’Assou, aka ’Lexie ’. That time as a ’green enthusiastic’ I tried to catch up on all possibilities to learn how to train retrievers and I feel myself lucky enough and thankful to WRCH (RMSE) for inviting the best trainers/handlers from Europe and UK here to Hungary to teach us.
As a result of this I trained all my dogs up to Open Level and I successfully competed with them on an individual as well as on team competitions here in Hungary and abroad since 2007. I represented Hungary on IWT in Holland as a National Team member in 2019 and in 2021 as well in Hungary.
Since 2007 I have been going to picking up with my dogs every shooting season and from the same time I helped on Cacit Field Trials as Steward.
From 2014 I started trialing my dogs as well, and learning from my faults from the beginning, I made my field trial Labrador, Spiritlane Anagarika aka ’Chili ’ up to International Field Trial Champion in 2021.
Since 2014 onwards I started to share my training experience abroad in the Baltic States, later on in Ukraine as well. And from 2020 I run small training group here in Hungary also.
I enjoy this sport and hobby for the never-ending process of learning together with dogs and for meeting new friends all over the world.
Since I became a judge, I have had the great honor of judging in many countries: Hungary, Latvia, Estonia, Belgium, Czech Republic, and in Austria as well.
I would like to thank Hunting Cynolocial Clubs Celje and the Club for Retrievers and Water Dogs for the invitation and I would like to wish everyone Best of Luck to all Competitors on Working Test!
